First Stop Mystery Shopping...
For many years while working full time, I also did mystery shopping. I do not have as much time anymore to do shops, but I do keep my foot in the door with many companies. Mystery shopping is fun and rewarding, but it is HARD WORK! You have to be well organized, be able to write well, be discreet, and professional. There are hundreds of mystery shopping companies out there, and the number one rule is never pay a company, they should always pay you. Most companies will ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement asking you not to disclose any client names or to disclose yourself as the shopper. The more shops you do the easier it gets, and the more jobs you will get. You can also become a certified shopper. You can take a test online to become Silver Certified (which I have done) or become Gold Certified by attending a seminar and now Gold Certification is being offered via DVD. More information on this is offered at the following website. www.mysteryshop.org
You can learn a great deal about mystery shopping and fill out applications for hundreds of companies if you go to his forum http://forum.volition.com/
The best advice I can give anyone starting out is apply to as many companies as possible, be accurate on your reports, group as many shops as you can in one day to create a route for yourself, and read the Volition forum thoroughly.

Take Surveys for extra Cash and Gift Cards!

This year I made over $600 taking surveys! I also earned over $1000 in gift cards from Amazon, Borders, CVS, LL Bean, Starbucks and KFC, just to name a few. It takes awhile to get started, but along with the rewards many of these companies will send you free products to test.
Here are some of my favorites...

About me and my work at home jobs!
Today is my first day of blogging! I have wanted to get started for awhile, but I have not had the time. As I sit here sick for the second time this month, I figured I would give it a shot.
I live in a small rural town, with my husband and two dogs. I quit my job in August 2007, and it has changed my life for the better. I now work from home for some terrific companies, wasting no gas, wearing what I want (jammies a lot of the time), scheduling my own hours and time off. It is hard work finding the perfect work at home job, and you are competing with thousands of other people all over the country. With plenty of research, and applying for those jobs that you are truly interested in, you will finally nab the perfect job.
When you work at home, you may find yourself at a entirely new career path! Right now I am a trainer supervisor for a company that teaches Chinese students to speak English. I never thought a year ago this is what I would be doing. I love the fact that I am helping others, and learning so much about another culture. Check out the website for Idapted www.idapted.com
I also work for Lifebushido as a virtual assistant, there no job is ever the same, and I am learning a great deal from the experience www.lifebushido.com
From July through December, I did some grassroot advocacy work at Onpoint. www.onpointathome.com
I also do some seasonal scoring of students essays and reading skills for Pearson. You can get more information and fill out an application here http://websurveyor.net/wsb.dll/80911/scoreessaysfromhomeapp1.htm
There are some great small filler jobs I do when I have time (which is not that often)
